OVERVIEW:
During my time as a Graphic Design Intern at Dearing Group, I contributed to a variety of client projects ranging from editorial and layout design to social media and marketing materials across the healthcare and manufacturing industries. Working within an agency environment allowed me to design within established brand systems while adapting visual solutions to very different audiences and communication goals. The work presented here reflects a collaborative process shaped through critique, iteration, and close collaboration with senior designers to ensure each project aligned with client objectives and brand standards. My role focused on developing layouts and visual concepts, while my design mentor provided guidance throughout the process and made final adjustments where necessary to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and overall creative direction.
Two primary clients I worked with were Inspiring Women and Fratco, whose brands required distinctly different approaches. Inspiring Women is a publication and digital platform focused on women’s physical, mental, and spiritual well-being, with a visual identity centered on clarity, warmth, and approachability. In contrast, Fratco manufactures drainage pipe systems for agricultural and commercial applications, requiring a more rugged, bold, and technical visual language that communicates durability and reliability. Through these projects, I strengthened my ability to respond to feedback, prepare production-ready work, and contribute effectively within a professional agency workflow.
